Saint Marguerite’s church of Cerdon-du-Loiret

This 12th century church was classified historical monument in 1941. Its real name is Church of St Margaret and St John the Baptist, and it is one of the finest in the diocese. It is early gothic style, it has the shape of a Latin cross, and was built at the instigation of the monks of Saint Benoît. Its brick and stone bell tower is unique in Sologne.
