Notre Dame church of Isdes

This remarkable example of the Norman architecture of Sologne dates from the 11th and 12th centuries. It is probably situated on the site of a primitive church and is made of limestone, chalk, flint and brick. It is one of the oldest churches in the area. It used to belong to the monks of Saint-Benoît who walked there along the footpath which runs from Bouteille to Isdes .
